About Dessert Unlimited

Executive Pastry Chef Sam Major and his wife, Nancy, realized their dream of owning a wholesale bakery when they opened Dessert Unlimited in Dallas, Texas. Dessert Unlimited provides the finest quality scratch-baked desserts for hospitality partners, including hotels, restaurants, event venues, caterers, and bakeries throughout the Southeast Region of the United States. 

After graduating valedictorian from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, Chef Sam trained with renowned chocolatier Raymond Lammers at what was then Utah’s only five-star, five-diamond property, Stein Eriksen Lodge, in Park City. From there, he assumed the role of Executive Pastry Chef at Utah’s most recognized catering company, Culinary Crafts; and then at Houston’s acclaimed Mark’s American Cuisine. Later, as the Executive Pastry Chef at Jackson & Company in Houston, Chef Sam designed desserts, cakes, and other specialty items for many of the city’s highest profile celebrations.

Before she married into the pastry business, Nancy earned a JD from J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University and a BA from Duke University. She worked in nonprofit management for a decade before the Majors started their bakery. 

Chef Sam and Nancy's most beloved clients are their four young children, who are always planning their next birthday cakes.
